Follow this few steps to enjoying the service:

  • Install the modem driver based on the handset you owned.

  • Set the connection to Mobile-8 Telecom

  • Set the connection to ISP, follow instruction below:
    A.For CBN
    Please download file FAQ CBN Mobile here

    B.For Jalawave

    1. Download file: jalamobile_vol.exe
    2. Run your downloaded file.
    3. If you are having trouble, click:
      Instalasi_dialer_jalamobileVB or just visit http://mobile.jalawave.net

    C.For another ISP

    1. Click Start > My Network Places
    2. Click View Network Connections.
    3. Click Create a new connection.
    4. Window wizard will pop-up. Click next.
    5. Choose "Connect to the network at my workplace", then click Next
    6. Choose "Virtual Private Network Connection", then click Next
    7. Type ISP name under Company Name then click Next
    8. Choose option 'Do not dial the initial connection'
    9. Type IP address or ALIAS NAME from VPN server ISP you choose under 'Host name or IP address'
    10. Mark the 'Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop' option if you want a shortcut on your desktop
    11. Click Finish,
      a. For AT&T, Centrin ,Radnet ,Pacific ,Mitranet ,IndoNet and CBN,
      VPN setting can be use instantly, just type in your user ID and appropriate password (see table)
      b. For IPNet and Biznet
      Go to 'properties' from VPN connection you've made, choose Tab 'Security', click on 'Advanced (custom setting)', then click 'Setting', change 'Data encryption' to 'Optional encryption', mark 'Unencrypted password' (PAP), 'Challenge Handshake Authentication Protocol (CHAP)', 'Microsoft CHAP', and 'Microsoft CHAP Version 2', click 'OK'. Choose 'Yes' on the next question. (see image).

      c. For Indo.net and Gen ID
      On "Advanced Security Settings" window, choose Data Encryption-Optional encryption (connect even if no encryption). On Logon security, choose Allow these protocols, choose Unecrypted password (PAP) and un-check others logon security (SPAP, CHAP, MS_CHAP dan MS-CHAP v2), Then click OK.

      Click Yes on Confirm window

      For more stable connection, Set Maximum speed into 115200 on Modem Configuration. How? right click on 'Mobile-8 Connection' icon and choose Properties, General tab, Choose Configure modem and set Maximum Port Speed into 115200, then click OK.

    12. Fill the 'Username' and 'Password' according to the ISP you've choose in the box.

TIPS :

  • If you prefer to make VPN connection which dialing automatically to Mobile-8 first, in point 8, you can choose type of connection you want to use. If VPN lost connection, Mobile-8 connection will also automatically disconnect.
  • The cost will be charged based on how many KB data sending and/or receiving when you make an internet access.
  • This service is a volume based connection, suitable for chatting or surfing while relaxing, because while you read the news or idle, you will be receiving a small amount of data, so your internet connection tariff still affordable.
